Abstract

Making the space of a piece of sculpture central to its experience has been a preoccupation of mine for sometime. It seems to persist like a theme, such that I can see direct connections between work made recently and work completed several years ago. However, in the past two years there has been a number of changes in my approach to sculpture which have provided new means of access to that preoccupation. One change which was most important involved my conception of the object.
