Abstract

My work involves re-purposing consumer contraptions and reclaiming city property as public material. These are crucial elements of my work's aesthetic impact and introduces new vocabulary enabling me to expand my discourse and to establish my voice with more precision. This thesis will be in the vein of a conversation, allowing multiple perspectives to surface in the text. It is important for me to describe my work using my own words while incorporating the voices of the people who have influenced my understanding of the work.
