Abstract

"If design is part of the problem can designers now become part of the solution or is it too late? In an attempt to answer these questions, the goal of this thesis will be two-fold: to offer a possible first step in defining the responsibility of the individual designer and his/her place in the practice of design; and to suggest an approach that can be used in the university classroom to introduce these first steps."
