Abstract
In part one of two in her lecture, anthropologist Elizabeth Weatherford comes to NSCAD to discuss her observations on the feminist art movement, particularly in New York City. After introducing different feminist theories and their criticisms, she comments on a great deal of contemporary artists including June Blum and the Sister Chapel project, Ursula K. Le Guin, Mary Beth Edelson, Nancy Sparrow, May Stevens, Dottie Attie, Alice Neel, Emily Carr, Harmony Hammond, Sarah Draney, Joyce Kozloff and Joan Snyder.
