Abstract
In response to the pervasive issue of cyberbullying, this thesis introduces HOO, a non-intrusive wearable device designed to potentially mitigate its negative psychological impacts. Utilizing acupressure stimulation, personalized breathing exercises, and intuitive user interfaces, HOO aims to provide passive real-time emotional support and relief to users. While user testing indicates positive responses to HOO’s features, the efficacy of its acupressure component (TEAS) remains untested. Nonetheless, HOO demonstrates promise as a proactive intervention tool in addressing cyberbullying-related mental health challenges. Further research is needed to validate its effectiveness and refine its design.
