Abstract
American poet and performance artist John Giorno shares his involvement with the New York art scene, playing for the audience tapes of the first five segments of his 'Dial-a-Poems' project. This includes Allen Ginsberg and Arthur Russell, Diana de Prima, William S. Burroughs, Anne Waldmen, and Giorno himself. After discussing his own poetry, he also plays additional recordings from Ed Sanders, Phillip Lopez, Jim Carroll, Allen Ginsberg and Bob Dylan, and others.
