Abstract

Varda Burstyn is a writer, critic, and editor of Women Against Censorship based in Toronto. In part two of two in her talk about censorship in sex, Burstyn answers questions from the audience. This discussion touches on the topics of prostitution, rape myths, criticisms of sexual representation, subjectivity in sexualized media, the writings of Alice Walker, governmental mediation in prostitution, and the reconsideration of censorship strategies.
