Canadian Currency Design: A Visual Language Investigation

Abstract

This thesis is an exploration of what defines the Canadian cultural experience through the medium of currency design. Canada has unique cultural attributes that are evident in the everyday object of a bank note, which are intended, but not guaranteed, to contribute to a better understanding of what it means to be Canadian.
