Abstract

"This text accompanies my MFA thesis show; an 'assemblage performance' entitled "benefit for the doubt". The notion to do such an exhibition/performance was considered in the first month of my studies. I had moved away from making permanent work, that is, I did not want to make objects that had to be taken care of, installed, stored, or carted around. But I was still so attracted to the materials and making things. I needed to have a show that was and wasn't."
