A Design for a Visitor Information Installation at the Halifax Cruise Ship Terminal:

Abstract

My thesis project was to design a visitor information installation for the Halifax cruise ship terminal. According to the statistics provided by Cruise Halifax, there were 228,133 cruise ship visitors to Halifax in 2008. For those people who want to spend a couple of days in Halifax, they will need travel information. This design provides several kinds of travel information including: things to do, where to eat, where to stay, where to shop, and maps. The airport and the train station already have information installations but they only provide pamphlets. The goal of this project was to design a better way to present travel information to visitors.
