Abstract
In this research, I aim to develop autoethnography using cellphilm as a medium on the basis of the existing literature. As a Chinese international student in Canada, this article will use my own cellphilm autoethnographic creation as a case study to explore how cellphilm autoethnography can be employed to examine my gradual adaptation to the local culture and the reconstruction of my identity, with a focus on the use of art-based methods in the process of self-reflection. Through the application of cellphilm and digital media art in my research, I will explore how cellphilm autoethnography can more effectively assist international students and other second-language communities in achieving artistic expression and communicate their personal sentiments. The conclusion is that cellphilm can aid in the creation of my autoethnography while achieving artistic self-expression, and it helps to compensate for the disadvantages I face in literary creation due to being a second-language speaker. Cellphilm makes my autoethnography innovative in design and focused on unique experiences, allowing me to immerse more easily in the creative process.
